Chardonnay
Nestling at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, the historic Stonewall cellar has been creating quality wines for generations. The vineyards, mostly bush vines, are planted in sandy loam soils, which are perfect for producing wines with high fruit concentration and robust flavours.

Vinification notes
The grapes for this wine were picked from a single vineyard, this being its first crop. The grapes were whole-bunch pressed and fermentation took place in the barrel to allow for maximum integration between wood and fruit. The must was allowed to ferment without the addition of a pure yeast strain and then the wine spent a further 7 months in 1st and 2nd fill French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
A full flavour of vanilla and citrus. Luscious vanilla oak and lemon twist fills the mouth. It is a full bodied Chardonnay, lingering on the finish.
